House was amazingly designed and loved the community style and the motto fit it perfectly come as strangers, leave as friends.

Beautiful but Strange: This lonely museum of a mansion is lovely but weird. We paid $250 for one night to stay in the John Wayne Room and were the only visitors on the entire premises. Like most B&Bs, our (now deceased) owner has put far too many pieces of her own on display so that our room was cluttered with artifacts which left little room for our own items. It felt like visiting the bedroom of a very wealthy and eccentric great auntie. The breakfast was good after we spent a night locked in and unable to retrieve items from our vehicle. Apparently, the night watchman did not know we were there. This could be a fun venue if it were declutered and made to feel less like a museum...and if it were booked with multiple groups of people to fill its vast rooms, grounds, and dining hall.
