We paid the down payment for our wedding to be done by Royal. He never once held any meetings with us after the first one. He would not return our phone calls, texts, or emails after he had 5-7 premarital counseling appointments. We decided to go with another company and demanded a refund due to his break of contract and are still waiting for a response several months later. We will more than likely have to take him to court for our money back. Anyone interested in joining us let us know. I would not ever recommend doing any business with him as he is unprofessional and made an already stressful event more stressful. I have absolutely no respect for him.

The day before our wedding I got and email from Chaplain Royal (not a call or text) stating that something came up and he would not be able to attend our rehearsal walk through but that he would send one of his partners to do it. I was extremely upset to hear that the person we hired would be skipping our rehearsal but at that point there was nothing I could do. We got to our venue and waited but no one ever showed up from Omaha Officiants - talk about a sinking feeling the night before your wedding. I tried calling, emailing and texting but got no response. At midnight that night I finally got an email from Chaplain Royal stating that he must have had the wrong time down - no apology whatsoever. We couldn't risk a mishap the day of our wedding so we had a family member get ordained and lead the ceremony instead. Chaplain Royal seemed really nice and knowledgeable at first but ultimately very unreliable.

We were very excited to have Royal do our ceremony. We booked him over a year out and paid extra to do pre marital classes. He would constantly cancel and reschedule the day of our meeting but we decided to stick with him. 100 days out from our wedding he missed another meeting. We called and emailed multiple times within the week with no answer. We still have not heard a single word from him and no refund. Extremely unprofessional, especially after doing “counseling” with him and being very open with our personal lives. Would not suggest hiring him for anything.

Royal was amazing at our wedding. He was able to pull from our personalities, and add both humor and wit into our ceremony. Several of our guests came up to us after the ceremony to tell us how much they loved our officiant. Our response, "Royal is awesome. That's why we chose him."

We were very disappointed in our experience with Royal. We booked him to officiate our wedding and did all of our premarital counseling sessions with him. He missed and/or rescheduled several sessions but life gets busy and we understood that. We even met about a month prior to the wedding to finalize ceremony details and everything seemed good to go. Then the evening of the rehearsal came around and all of our family and friends sat around for several hours waiting for him to show up and he never did. We thought that maybe he had just forgotten or that maybe something terrible had happened to him. We called and emailed multiple times and then ended up having to find a last minute replacement to officiate our wedding the following day because we never heard back from him. We even looked him up on Facebook and he is clearly alive and well. This has now been over four months ago and he still has not ever reached out to us to explain or apologize. Thankfully we were able to cancel our check before it was deposited. I hope that someone reads this before booking him to officiate their wedding and does not end up in the same place that we did.
