Dr. Koester and our vet tech that took care of us today were great. We got a same day appointment for an ear infection. Our appointment was also very quick. We were already in the car on the way home 30 minutes later.

Im very torn on how to review this place. Vital Care and Dr. Rex are wonderful. With Vital Care you get extra perks that make sense financially in the care of your pets. I have 1 dog, a recently deceased kitten, and a brand new kitten. I scheduled a checkup appointment for the new kitten for this morning. Gracie at the front desk flatly told me that my appointment was cancelled because I was one minute past the five minute grace period. I understand that schedules are important, however I did not foresee having to fish my kitten out from under the couch because he was scared of the cat carrier. I left the office very frustrated, and did not accept the later appointment offered for today. Most of the time when taking my animals in there is a very long wait to see the provider here. Again, I understand schedules, unforeseen circumstances, etc. I don't mind waiting. My problem is that even had we been there early, we still would have been waiting well beyond the time we arrived. The kitten we had to put down visited this location almost weekly in the months leading up to him being put down. Dr. Rex was thorough and kind. However, once the kitten was deceased I continued to receive care reminders from the vet's office. I have made 3 phone calls directly to this office, called the Total Care customer service line, and marked the kitten deceased in my app. Yet, I STILL continue to get these reminders. I like the idea of a larger, established pet care network because my thoughts are that the systems and procedures are in place to avoid these types of things. Unfortunately, I've been met with insincere condolences and false promises that each of these individuals would make it their mission to resolve the matter. Ultimately, Dr. Rex and money savings from Total Care are wonderful. The support staff, however, leaves quite a bit to be desired. To them, you are yet another chart number, regardless of the wellbeing of your pet. I have an appointment tomorrow, in which I will discuss these matters with Dr. Rex directly and receive the check up of the new kitten. Depending upon the outcomes from this conversation and handling of the lingering issues, I may give up and find somewhere else.
