    We are a residential redevelopment company here in Omaha. We have never experienced the unprofessionalism and incompetency we have experienced with this title company. NLTA received the purchase and sale agreement as soon as we came to an agreement with the buyers. In the agreement it states the seller is responsible for paying the closing fees and termite inspection due it being a VA loan from the buyers. Completely understood. My complaint is the simple fact that these fees should have been calculated from the beginning since NLTA did have P & S Agreement from the beginning. When we went in to sign we were promised multiple times by the closing manager Monica Gartner that our fees would only change by $12.50 or $25. Instead at the last minute right before closing our fees changed much more than that. I have requested from the title company to pay the difference since they made the mistake and they had promised that the end fees would only change by $12.50 or $25. The president of the company replied back stating that “they can not cover unintentional errors”. Completely understandable. But, most of the time errors are not intentional. If they were they probably wouldn’t be made. The only thing we are asking is that the title company reimburse us for the difference. Which is the “unintentional error” that was made. But, unfortunately it seems that with NLTA whether you make an error or they do, the client needs to pay for it. In my opinion this is bad business. We will never do business with NLTA again.
