You can not trust this company!! I was on the phone all week with them about my margin call. They said I needed to sell shares worth 36k$ to fix the margin call. On the date it was due I sold the shares. 2 hours later they automatically sold another 25K$ in shares. They told me they would never automatically sell shares in my account until they call me first. They did not call me. They just sold the shares and then told me that they don't have to call. They didn't care who I talked to 4 times in the last week. They will just do what they want with your account. I will never ever recommend them to anyone and the minute I have my account back to 0 I am pulling all my funds and going to another broker. Beware.
Edit: just received a reply from TD about this review. They said since I had contacted them the day before they didnt feel the need and didnt have time to call me before they automated a sell on my account costing me 5k. I dont care if I called the day before. I was told misinformation so calling me again before it happens, after you see I sold shares already, to make sure I knew what was going on would be standard business procedure. To say a business didnt have time to call before forcing a 5k loss is inappropriate and wreckless. TD is continuing to show its lack of care for their customers money or account. Is that the type of broker you want to be using?
