Benak's Heating & Cooling

Today we had Benaks out to do our regular check and cleaning, on our AC/ heating, as ALWAYS on time, professional and letting us know what is needed and explaining what is going on, we have been using them for several years, and have complete confidence in their service, highly recommend!

Benak's replaced our furnace and air conditioner. Great experience. They recycled the old furnace and cleaned everything before installing the new one. They are great people to work with and I would recommend them to anyone.

We have used different heating and air companies in the past 25 years with our rental business, always searching for better service and experience. We have found many of the big companies hire unexperienced technicians because they cant find anyone who wants to work these days. However, we had no choice, but to keep continuing to pay the big company prices because we could find nothing better. Many times they had to come out two or three times to fix the problem because the technicians didnt know what they were doing. When calling in frustration, because we would get charged for each service call, we always heard the same thing We cant keep our help and good help is hard to find. That was all true until We found Bob! Not only does he come and personally do our service work, but he personally answers the phone every time we call him. He, himself, offers a tremendous service. He doesnt send someone who doesnt know what hes doing, he comes himself. Because of that, only one service call is needed, and your problem is fixed. You cant ask for better than that! Like I said, he is very reliable and is always there when he says he will be. That is rare also these days! On our last service call, he identified an electrical issue as well. Not only did he call an electrician he uses for us, he also came over with the electrician to help us out with identifying the problem. When it comes to customer service, you will find Bob to be a true professional you can always count on and who is always there for you. We appreciate him so much, because a true service professional like Bob is hard to find these days. Give him a call, I guarantee you wont be disappointed and youll never need to call another heating and air company again!

Avoid Benak's like the plague. We were forced to use them because of our plan with American Home Shield. They improperly diagnosed our furnace problems. They said it was just a clogged evaporator coil and heat limiter, but turns out, after having a different company come out (John Henry's), the heat exchange was busted, resulting in CO2 and other toxic gases leaking back into our home. The fact Benak's technician didn't even test for something so serious is alarming. What a joke. The whole furnace needs replacement. Had we trusted Benak's original diagnosis, gone with their repairs, and turned the furnace back on, we could've been in some serious trouble. Their "customer service" is also laughable. They claim they'll call you back, but they won't. You'll only receive a text. If you follow up on that text with a question, you won't hear back. So sketchy. Lincolnites, if you want a company you can depend on, use John Henry's or Command Heating & Air.

My partner and I have had furnace issues for the last week. When AHS assigned Benak's to our ticket, we were immediately wary of their reviews. After coming out to our home to diagnose the issue, they said they'd need to order a part and to keep the furnace off. We never heard back from Benak's regarding when the part would arrive, or a solution so that we could get our heat on in our home. After several phone calls, they informed us we'd need to wait a week for the part to arrive, and then they'd schedule service. I promptly let them know that this was unacceptable in the middle of winter, especially since we had already been without heat for four days. At this point, Benak's practically ghosted us. Their "dispatcher" informed me that she doesn't have access to view any of their technician's schedules, and that they would get back to me. This is laughable. They communicate via text and rarely return a phone call. What are we paying you for? At this point, we decided to have a second company out to our home since the temperatures were -17. This company promptly came out to our house and found that our system had been leaking gas, which Benak's never informed us of. They immediately took steps to find a solution, and we could tell that they cared about us as customers. I would avoid Benak's and have filed a complaint with AHS to get them removed as a provider.
