Boyce Lumber & Design Center

I bought a Simpson door (and jamb) through Boyce. It was extremely expensive ($4000), but we wanted a nice quality wood door. After waiting for over 6 months, I got an email saying that the door had arrived, but that it had gaps in it and didnt meet their quality standards. So they sent it back, and we waited another 4 months. Then we got our door. Although it had some gaps in and throughout, they said it looked good. It took me some time to secure someone to install the door, so it was stored in my garage for 3 months and then inside for another 4 months during the winter to acclimate the wood. Once the door was installed there seemed to be more gaps and the dowelings werent as flush with the door. I brought my concerns to Boyce, who reached out the Simpson rep to see what they had to say. Rather than stand by their product, they told that I hadnt stored the door appropriately and that my warranty was voided. I am beyond angry, and there is literally nothing I can do now other than write this review. I cannot stress this enough, do not use this door department. You would assume that after spending so much, that youd be considered a valued customer. Not the case with Boyce. They dont stand by their product nor their word. I looked up Simpsons reviews and found that these issues seem to becoming more common. And yet, rather than trust in me, their customer, Boyce does not.

We have leaned on Boyce heavily in the restoration of our 90 year old house. They have helped us with doors, siding, closets and stairs. Awesome staff, very helpful and cheerful.

Tends to be a bit over priced but the customer service is always great :)
