Northern Lights Trading Co

I have gone to the Barn twice now and have not been impressed in the slightest. The staff are just sitting around doing nothing, while the store is a mess. Both times when I talked with the staff I was given very little respect and made to feel like an idiot when I walked out. I would not recommend the store.

I went to Northern Lights to get my skis mounted and they did an excellent job. The customer service was the best I have experienced in town. Everyone is genuinely nice and want to help you find what you are looking for. I had a fantastic experience and I will defiantly be back!

While Northern Lights Trading appears to occasionally have reasonable sales, they offer no guarantees on the their stock of merchandise. When I saw a sale on brass offset stoppers, I was interested in helping out this small online store (even though several reputable sellers offer price match). Weeks later, I found out that they were out of stock long before my order was placed. Now there are no longer prices that I can have matched and Northern Lights Trading left me high and dry with no offers to offset my loss. I can comfortably say that I will never place another order through Northern Lights Trading due to their irresponsible lack of consumer sympathy. In the past, other companies have helpfully offered me 20% coupons in apology, but Northern Lights Trading has clearly prioritized profit over customer satisfaction.

Great store, great owners, and employees. Had them work with me on several occasions for climbing shoes. Always helpful.

I have been shopping at Northern Lights out of necessity as they are one of the only rafting suppliers around Bozeman. I have had many unpleasant customer service experiences with the upper management and most recently with the owner. Thus have now resolved to never, ever shop there again. Most recent dispute took place because they had priced something in the store $39.95, but when I looked at my receipt, noticed I'd been charged for $69.95. I didn't notice the error until I was at the put in for a river trip and was forced to use the item (which I could have easily bought online for much cheaper). I asked him why they charged me so much, and he told me the real price of the item was the one in their computer, not the price tag and they would not give me any of my money back. as well as now they declined the return of the item as I'd had to use it. Instead I got berated by the owner. have a great day!
