I walked here on a chilly sunny Saturday morning to have a delicious coffee and a scone. I would have loved to try all the delicious food so we will have to come back

Well Solas is a cute little place quiet with great food. Prices should be lower if I have to bus my own table.

I think we're officially done. To echo the sentiment of many other reviewers: Painfully underwhelming yet overpriced food served (ish) by staff that often can't be bothered to deliver on basic customer relations. My wife and kids and I have over the past several years continually given this place a chance (they have a nice kids play area and are on our way to town), but it is now clear Sola's only talent lies in baking disappointment into every facet of their business. I am all for paying a higher price for 1) good food and 2) to support and provide a decent wage for the staff but then 1) the food should not taste like the sad union of sheer boredom, neglect, and the color monochrome and 2) the overall service experience should not tend toward the antagonistic. I now want this place to fail so that the next shop that occupies the building can learn they won't profit when cutting the same corners. Even good businesses have bad days, but my review comes from experiences collected over 4 years of patronage. Their recent "revamp" seems to have made things even worse, partially owing to the new ordering process being a devolved, messy, schizoid labyrinth designed to weaken or anger customers before the ill-fated order exchange can even begin. And then you pay. And then the food. And then you bus your table, which puts a big steaming punctuation mark on the whole interaction. This place is an awkward, shambling, senseless beast of commerce slavering for your money. Natural selection / the free market should have seen to its extinction long ago, so Sola must be on some unholy infusion of cash that keeps its defeated heart pumping. The ownership may have seen financial success in the abrasive corporate hand soap market in a previous life and decided to bring these sensibilities to the corner of Kagy. Please, give this culinary abomination the peace of eternal sleep - it yearns for it.

There was a long wait in line, but then the service was fine when I ordered my thai chicken meatball on ciabatta. Then the wait to get our orders was even longer. I think they burnt my ciabatta the first time they tried toasting it because the whole restaurant starting smelling like burnt toast, which was kind of awful. Then when I finally got my food the ciabatta was barely toasted, which makes sense. The meatballs themselves were kind of dry considering it is a curry? But the curry sauce tastes really good. If I go again, I'll probably get the curry on rice instead.

The food and staff here are wonderful. I recommend Sola to my friends and family every time they come to visit. The food is worth the price and they even have options if you need to avoid dairy! A great place to hang out with friends. Also try their waffles! Simply the best! I dontd like waffles and I go to Sola for theirs.
