This is the most difficult insurance company I have ever worked with. I was a long-time client and had only one minor claim in the twelve years I was with them - a tree fell on my roof during a windstorm in 2010. But when my vehicle was vandalized at my home in late summer of 2020 and numerous items were stolen, including all of my sons fishing and hunting gear, it took a monumental effort to get them to pay the claim, which was less than $1500 after my deductible. They were rude and not at all responsive. The young adjuster with something to prove treated me as I though I were the thief. I kept them informed about where things were with the police and then the courts and they aren't interested in going after the guilty party. One of the two has been caught and he is in jail and his case is going through the courts. They company still has not sent me a comprehensive summary of the incident even though I requested it twice for the court case. I finally changed insurance companies. My new policy with a reputable company provides better coverage, good customer service, quick communication, and the policy is 30% cheaper. Why did I wait so long? Unfortunately, my headaches are still not over. Now it has been more than three months since I cancelled the policy and there has been no refund of the remaining premium, more than two thousand dollars. I am so glad that the loss I incurred was not more significant because I believe we would have been financially ruined trying to get this company to fulfil their fiduciary duty. PLEASE, FOR YOUR SANITY AND THE SECURITY OF YOUR FAMILY, AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! Ryan in Billings.
