Missouri Delta Medical Center: Emergency Room

I am not sure anyone here has an actual medical license. I sat in a chair in the hall with my 12 year old for an hour and a half. I nurse came and proceeded to discuss his private medical issues while other patients were walking by. He is a healthy 12 year old with some burning with urination and she suggested kidney stones and that they run a scan. I wasnt told what kind of scan and never saw a doctor. No exam was given either. After another hour I grabbed a nurse walking by and expressed my concerns. It turns out they wanted to run a Ct scan which is generally used conservatively especially in children. They were very rude when I said no as he had no symptoms suggesting he needed one and had not seen a doctor. I refused care and left. This test is expensive and carries high levels of radiation and shouldnt be used unnecessarily. This place is rude, unprofessional, doesnt respect your privacy, and orders tests just for the money. They said their average wait time is 4-6 hrs!!

My Grandson 5months old went in at 12midnight no on waiting with his nut sack hard as a rock 20 minutes later my Daughter-In-Law told the lady at the front desk she was going to go to Cape her response was ok. Dont ever take a infant there in a emergency

The care I got was great. The issue I had was they told me I had to wear a mask which is fine but then over 1/2 the staff was not wearing them or wearing them incorrectly and nobody corrected the issue. How does this only apply to patients? If you have a policy everyone should be held accountable and follow it.

Allowed someone to use my identity. They are too lax. This resulted in me getting a debt from a place I have never been and harassed.

5 hours in and the only thing that I've been able to do is get my vitals. 5 hours and no one has even come out.
