Riverview at the Park Nursing Center

Thursday Night there was neglect and abuse.There was no staff around to take care of my mom and the other resident on the covid floor. My mom went searching for help and a staff member yelled at her and chased my 90 year old mom.This was neglect and abuse. No staff member should chase or yell at a 90 year old resident . There should always be staff available to take care of residents- especially on Covid unit. This nursing home could get in serious trouble. My mom does not even live in this nursing home. She lives in assisted living in Herculaneum. I would highly recommend that if you love your family member - that you do not send them to this nursing home. They will get negelected and maybe even chased and yelled at like my mom did.

This is a very clean, lovely nursing home. The staff is exceptionally wonderful, helpful and always eager to assist with a smiling face. The staff makes it all about the residents. The staff and administration truly go above and beyond for their residents and make it feel like home, and it is like one big family.

The staff ignores the residents, they turn off call lights without finding out what the issue is. My mother had to wait over an hour to go to the bathroom. They are slow in getting meds out so that it's hours later than what it should be, and when you call in they are rude from being asked to do their job. A family member should not have to call in place of the call light. Luckily this location is only temporary as my sister and I are working on moving my mother to a facility that actually takes care of their residents.

My father-in-laws wedding ring was stolen/misplaced, director of administrations would not return my phone calls or answer questions on what policies they have in place to safeguard residence assets. They said a nurse found it in his bed sheets, but no recollection of what nurse or where it went so we had to file a police report and never got the ring back. When hospice called us in he had undocumented and uncared for pressure wounds on his heals and ankles and bed sores from lack of a care plan to turn him every two hours while he was bed ridden. His health deteriorated drastically while we were unable to see him due to covid and nursing staff seemed oblivious that dirty blood soaked socks were not proper wound care.
