Lance Drury and his staff are true professionals. We received a bill from the IRS for $17,000+. My wife turned it over to what she thought was a local Tax attorney who charged us $1000 up front and then $400/mo after that. The only communication from them was the monthly bill which came from Delaware. After 6 months and another $2800 we canceled the service and hired Lance Drury and we settled with the IRS for $5000+. The Drury staff in beautiful downtown Ste.Genevieve were extremely cordial and efficient. I would wholeheartedly recommend Lance and his staff. I just wish I had done it much sooner.

Lance Drury law firm was able to help me get my problem resolved in the consultation. I was astounded as they gave me advice that saved me $18k within 10 minutes. These guys are great!!! Thank you for your help guys!!

I'd give this zero stars if I could. Do not waste your time or money with this law firm. My late father fell for the advertisements and recommended him to me. Since I trusted my dad, I gave Lance a try. Lance quickly took my money and farmed me out to another attorney. She was a nice person but she did the same thing I could have done to get into a streamlined payment agreement. They did not "negotiate" with the IRS to reduce my debt, they were just the middle man. They were not communicative about the terms of the agreement and failed to respond to my questions about it. I have now found out from the IRS that my agreement does not cover all I will owe, even after the 72 months. They didn't really do anything. Beware of tax attorneys that say they will negotiate to reduce your tax debt, lies!

Oh, what a relief... For years I have carried a tax liability issue that I perceived to be a millstone around my neck. I had consulted several tax experts who always gave me similar advice.
First, pay us a large retainer and then we will look at your file. Next, after looking at your file, we need to research the law surrounding your circumstances and that requires an additional fee. Last, after completing our research, we have concluded that we cannot help you with this matter.
Why was I required to jump through all those hoops for them to reach their pre-determined conclusions? I believe that too many so called tax experts place business profits above professional integrity. Lance Drury, in contrast, had a totally different approach. He reviewed my file, discussed it with his associates, and then presented a course of action with an estimated cost. I certainly felt that he was putting my interests ahead of his financial enrichment. During our conversations, it was obvious that he thoroughly understands tax law (without having to first research the law before advising me.)
I am relieved and very fortunate to have contacted Mr. Drury. I would recommend his law firm to anyone with a tax problem. Thank you, sir, for your help; I am eternally indebted to you. Lemont C.

Lance was easy to work with but high pressure to pay up front. It turned out I did not owe the IRS after having my taxes reviewed by another accountant. By the time we realized the error I had already paid Lance $5500. I initiated services with Lance on 11/25/20 and he completed the Power of Attorney and Engagement Letter with me. We had several correspondences regarding payments following the initial meeting. I notified him of the accountant error on 2/16/2021 and he refunded me $3000.00 but kept $2500 for completing a Power of Attorney and Engagement Letter. I could understand keeping this amount if I was dissatisfied with his services etc but there was a huge accountant error that another accountant discovered. Completing and submitting the Power of Attorney letter and calling me several times after to collect more money was definitely not worth $2500. I could see keeping $500 but $2500 was asinine. I would not recommend. Very high pressure to pay up front before doing any work. Lance called shortly after this review to discuss refunding some of my money. I have tried to reach out to him several times via email but have not received a response. My tax issue has now been resolved as I never owed any money to the IRS.
