Salt obviously does not value their customers. I took my project team (8 people) to Salt for our kick-off dinner. We had read some good reviews and were looking forward to a formal dining experience. All started off ok as we ordered six small plates, eight scallops (over-priced at $9 per scallop), and eight large plates along with cocktails and wine - and a few desserts. The food was above average and service was satisfactory, up until a wine spill - as our waiter was setting silverware for our large plates he tipped a very full pour of red wine onto two of our diners. Accidents happen, and all was taken in good stride - but there was no real apology or attempt to correct the mistake outside of being given soda water and a portion of salt to rub on the stains. They did offer to pick up the dry cleaning, but the garments were so soaked (and white) there is little hope of the stains coming out. Our waiter then became inattentive after the incident (perhaps he was embarrassed). We would have been ok with this as well as we're pretty easy-going - that is until the bill came and there was no discount for the interruption to dinner or the lost full glass of wine. After two trips to the manager we got less than half of a bottle of wine taken off the bill. The manager was unapologetic, rude, and does not understand how to interact with customers. Bottom line: they had a chance to do the right thing but did not, and as a result none of us will return and I will never speak well of this restaurant. We spent a significant amount here and a small gesture would have gone a long way - it was more about attitude than any $ compensation. Poorly played, Salt.

Wonderful evening. We shared the arancini appetizer, an autumn salad, and I had the pork tenderloin special! Delicious, perfectly done, and diner-centric service. The decor is a little funky, but not too distracting. Having several small dining rooms within the entire house makes for an intimate dining experience. We'll go back again in a heartbeat.

We went here for brunch. Though we arrived an hour after they opened, we were the only people there. The service was attentive and the dishes that we ordered (seared trout, frisee salad, corn and lime chowder, smoked trout, and blueberry cobbler) were tasty. The decor was particularly great -- check out the Egyptian-themed theater and restrooms on the second floor!
