image Our visit started by the hostess rolling her eyes when we told her we had a large party. From there it went down hill. We were there almost 2 hrs before everyone had their food. The noodles in the chicken noodle soup had turned gray because they had been sitting out for so long. We saw other parties wait for 30 minutes without getting their order and leaving as well. We will never be back.

image They have ants in our hot chocolate. Never even order food because we were so grossed out, told the manager and left. NO THANKS

image Wow. We stopped for dinner on Sunday. First they had no bananas for shakes. Not a big deal. They brought out our food(3 meals) after a while and one of the steaks was not medium rare. It was my niece's. So they took it back. Both steaks ordered had no onions and she explained that this happens because they onions and mushrooms are a mix so when they take off the mushrooms the onions are also off, something not mentioned when ordered. So she was suppose to bring out the onions. I asked her for my fresh fruit and the bread that came with the steaks. She said the bread would need 2 minutes. She left brought back coleslaw instead of fruit. Left again. Came back several minutes later with fruit. I asked about the bread again. She said someone came in and ordered a family meal so now it would be 5-6 minutes. After another long period of time I asked her if we could get different bread. She brought that out. We ate that and asked about the steak. She said it was frozen and thus would be a while. I asked her to bring out my niece's ice cream so at least she could eat something with us. She brought out the ice cream. We'd finished our dinners and dessert before they brought the steak back out. It was cooked even more. She then explained that because the steaks are so thin they can't get them medium rare. Something again that wasn't mentioned at anytime before this. The poor kid would have been better off to eat it the first time. The onions NEVER came throughout the whole meal. As I was talking to the waitress about not being happy with the outcome she walked away. I asked to talk to the manager. The manager asked how we were I said Not Good. She replied well that's great! Nothing like listening to the customer. She kept glancing off as I was telling her about the issues we had. Then she picked up the check and said they'd comp it. I said that I wasn't looking for her to comp the meal, but she walked away in the middle of me talking. I was stunned. I guess this is protocol at Bob Evans. The only shinning moment was the hostess named Shy. She had overheard it and stopped by to ask how we were. She listened. She apologized. She never made excuses and didn't walk away. You could tell she really cares. We left her a tip with the cash that we had. I told her I really hoped she didn't have to share the tip with them. She's the type of employee every business owner wants. I like Bob Evan's food, but if this is the service I'll be avoiding them.

image When we first walked in, there was only one other group in the whole restaurant. That should have tipped us off. Very clean, but half of the stuff on the menu wasn't available, and none of the staff seemed to know what they were doing. Just go to Cracker Barrel or even Denny's would probably be better.
