Peculiar Water Department

This place is horrible. For a small 800ft apartment with just me living here, I pay 250 standard. The water is absolutely horrible you'd think we were getting it straight from a dirty pond. It just blows my mind how this acceptable.

Please consider before moving. Do you ever have to pay someone every month and you just cant help but feel that someone is taking advantage of you? It is such a helpless feeling, because to live here in this city that we fell in love with, that monthly $250 water bill is part of our unfortunate reality. We pay twice what we paid in Olathe and 4 times what we paid in Stilwell, and that's JOHNSON COUNTY! I complain but I know nothing will change. In fact, the rates were just raised. So again, do you ever feel like you're being taken advantaged of ? Get ready, because when you pay that bill every month, you will.

This water department has me looking to move just because the water is ridiculous I have been paying close to $500 a month for a year and half now and its just me and two kids at my house a townhome they give you no time to pay it you get the bill and u have two weeks tonpay it or you are shut off so today they came to shut me off and I am a single mom I told the man I was going up to pay it but they still shut me off and now I cant pay it cause its $150 extra now to reconnect they have the worst customer service as well I would think twice about moving here thats forsure

For years the bill has been due by the 15th of each month. So I have auto payments set up for the 5th of each month. Haven't had any issues for years. This month a recive a text on the 2nd saying my bill is past due, I check the bill and it clearly states "Utility bills are due upon receipt. The last day to pay to avoid penalties is the 15th." But on the bill they are charging me a 10% penalty!
