My experience with the owner was nothing short of bizarre. I had made an appointment for him to come by at 5 pm to give an estimate on Christmas lighting for our home. I called a few hours before 5 to make sure he was going to be there and I was assured he would by one of his employees. I made a special effort to be home by 5 to accomodate his visit. At apporximately 530 when I hadnt seen him I called his office and was put on hold for quite a while and then was told he would be calling me. He called me back a little bit later and said he was sorry and offered me a gift certificate from Starbucks. He then went on to say he was at his doctor's office in north county. He said there was three different clocks in the doctor's office with three different times so he was confused on the time. He then preceded to say he could be over in a little while or at 8 o'clock that evening, I told him either would be fine. He then said something to the effect that he heard I was getting a competitive quote. He then preceded to downgrade his competitor by saying they were cheaper but did not do as good of work. I then said to him thats ok I want a bid, price isn't the only issue. He then said he couldn't make it at 8 because he was going to be at a casino and they didn't have clocks there. It sounded as if he never intended to come to begin with because he knew I was getting a competitive bid. It was an insulting experience and I'm certainly glad i missed the opportunity to do business with them. I would definitely think long and hard before doing business with this company.
