I left Missouri just before Christmas bound for Florida and a few days after I arrived, I got news from my dearest and life long friend (we had known each other since birth as our parents were neighbors at the time) of 58 years telling me that her father had suddenly became ill and the doctors gave him less than 24 hours to live. I was unable to get back to Missouri in that short amount of time and upon calling my friend early the next morning, I was informed that her father, and my life long friend had indeed parished about midnight. My heart sank. In my desperation, I searched the web for a local flower shop and I came across Marshfield Blooms website. I immediately called the number posted on the site and spoke at length with a wonderful woman named Ramona. In speaking with Ramona, she gave me a list of items she had available in her boutique and made recommendations of what she could create for my specific need according to what I had explained to her that I would like to have. Our conversation was rather lengthy as I had multiple questions. Ramona answered each question with patience and kindness, making me feel that she understood my pain and offering up more options as we spoke. I then asked Ramona if she would mind to please take a few pictures of what she had currently available in her boutique and text them to me - it was then that lovely Ramona informed me that she was still at home preparing to go into work as the shop was not opened yet, however promising me that she would take a variety of pictures for me as soon as she arrived. In my sadness and feelings of desperation, I had forgotten about the difference in time zones and I had called extremely early in the morning. The service I received from this business was completely over the top. Ramona kept in contact with me the entire process - updating me on the status of my order and making sure I was happy with the final product. Although we were separated by multiple states - Ramona made me feel that she was just down the street as she put together the most heartfelt display for my dearest friend. In my order I had requested the following items: A peace lily, A heartleaf philodendron, another green plant, [only] one red rose, one or more yellow roses, a variety of flowers to add a lot of color. I asked for the finished product to be at least 36" in height with an appropriate bow, a card with my specific verbiage, and a blown glass angel - all for my life long friend to keep and hold close in the days to come. Ramona created the most amazing 42" tall by 34" wide European Dish Garden display I could only have imagined until she sent me the picture of her amazing work - with every single detail that I had requested. I am saddened that I cannot be there for my friend, and even more so that I will not be able to participate in the services of her father's (and my life-long friend) final departure. But I am absolutely certain that my friend will have no doubt that I hold her dear in my heart during this difficult time and my gift will comfort her. Although I have written a short novel - I cannot say enough about the kindness, compassion, dedication, and consideration I was shown by Marshfield Blooms. My entire experience was A++ and I would recommend this business with the highest regards. Thank you!!
