THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!!! I was stupid and decided to do their free exam and x-rays to save money. When I called they said a cleaning would cost $71. Not bad, I thought. I could save a little money. I brush my teeth 2-3 times a day, floss twice a day, use an electric toothbrush, and regularly see my dentist every 6 months. My dentist always tells me I am doing great. During my exam at Sensible Dental, they told me I have periodontal disease and told me I needed almost 2k worth of work done. I know I don't have periodontal disease - my gums look healthy and my gums don't bleed and my previous dentist told me I was doing great 6 months ago. They wanted to do the highly, highly profitable "deep cleaning" in which they charge about $700 per hour of work. It's just like a regular cleaning except they go beyond the gum line. They also wanted to do sealants on all the teeth that I had done when I was a kid. While in theory it does kind of make sense to do the sealants as an adult, but after further research this is not necessary and just a way for Sensible Dental to make more money. In addition, I was told I was not eligible for the $71 cleaning. Since they claim I have periodontal disease, I would have to do a more expensive "periodontal maintenance" cleaning, and go back more often than the usual 6 months. The one good thing I can say about Sensible Dental is that the people seem very nice. They are really good sales people and will try to convince you to let them do a lot of unnecessary work and make it seem like it seem like it is necessary for your health. I do not trust this company whatsoever. All they care about is making as much money as possible. Their sales pitch for the deep cleaning is pretty convincing, but I didn't fall for it. If your teeth and gums are really messed up and you need extensive work, then I would recommend Sensible dental. I researched their rates, and they are comparable to other dentist offices. However, Sensible Dental wants to make as much money as possible, and they don't want you as a patient if you are someone with healthy teeth and gums who just wants regular cleanings and wants a dentist that is going to be completely honest. Stay away from Sensible Dental, because they will deep-clean your pockets.
