There are people ripping you off even when you die, I suppose. I contacted Hudson Rimer when my beloved dog passed away, and I was pretty disappointed with the service I received. I came to them with several questions, and I was told that I wouldn't be able to get an answer until a manager (I think his name was Kevin) was in the building. I asked when he would be available next, and the lady just said she didn't know. I called back several times, and I think the lady said he was in but that he didn't really want to talk to me. She asked what I wanted, and I explained my situation. She quoted a price for digging the hole. I then asked about the gravestone. From what I remember, she said it is mandatory to buy the gravestone directly from them, and quoted a shockingly steep price they required for that. All in all, it seemed to me like it would require a very wealthy person to bury a dog on their ground! It's sad. Not everyone is rich enough to afford a burial I guess.
