Sales person made tons of empty promises. I was told this service is month to month, now I have moved out of state and they are saying that it isn't true. The customer support person straight up said that its not uncommon for him to hear of sales people making false promises and that its "not cool".
Dont buy from these people. They are con artists.

This company is trash. Do your self a favor and buy cameras yourself at Best Buy. Way better.

Normally I dont bother leaving reviews but I want to give a heads up warning to anyone that sees a door-to-door Vivint sales person coming. Two younger guys came to my door and started there spiel except they did not tell me who they worked for at first, only about the ability to see your security system from your phone and lock your doors with an app ... blah blah blah. I was confused what they were even trying to sell me. They finally told me the company and i politely told them we have an ADT system that's already installed. He asked me what the model was. I have no freaking idea. So he asked if he could see it. I said i guess.
At this point, I've already told them twice that we arent interested and that we aren't going to buy today. But i reluctantly let him look at what we have. Yes, my mistake. He then asks for a pen and paper so he could jot some info down for me. I get it for him thinking this encounter is almost over. They proceed to sit down at my dining room table (without being asked to) and continue to show me videos and make a list of possible package options. I again tell them I'm not interested. He starts breaking down pricing comparison between them and ADT and how they are cheaper. I again tell this i am not interested. He asks me why i don't want to pay the money to protect my nice house. I then have to explain to the young man (because he clearly isnt getting it) that i can't just decide on a whim to have another bill due each month for 100 bucks. That's not how it works and that my husband and i will have to discuss it. Once again, I'm not interested. He then says well maybe you can discuss it with your husband really quick.
These guys just wont leave so i go and have to interrupt my husband in the middle of his work day (he is currently working from home due to covid) and tell him what's going on. He comes upstairs and literally has to say to these kids that we aren't buying a security system and to get out of our house. On top of all of that, they were not wearing masks which i would think would be a no brainer if you're a stranger right now walking into someone else's home.
I called customer service and they were extremely apologetic which i do appreciate. i dont know what kind of training is going on at this company but it's ridiculous and literally crossed the line of making me feel extremely uncomfortable
