I love highland we tackle problems everyday but we always put are residents first Ive been here 14 years and would not want to be anywhere else we are all family there residents are a part of are family and I know from first hand experience we do are best to make sure are residents are taking care of and we handle all there needs .we have lots of fun with are residents and staff all year long

I've worked at highland for 5 yrs I love my residents and my team members we take pride in caring for our residents. Proud to be a great housekeeper

My experience with nursing homes or long term health facilities has not been nice. One ends up being worse than the next and I have so desperately searched for a place close to home with good staff somewhere my son wouldn't have different nurses/cna's all the time. My son has TBI and if you can't speak for yourself your screwed for sure. They almost succeeded in starving him to death. Literally on his death. He lost over 30lbs in less than a year. I'm telling you if you care about your love one at all DONT SEND THEM HERE IF THEIR THERE GET THEM OUT NOW! The place should be closed down. I hotlined them twice. I have walked in and found my son naked on the cold floor helplessly just laying there. Nobody ever knows anything their always new temps it's their first day, etc. No good reason or excuses for anything i would ask concerning the care of my son. They skipped his feedings on a regular cause i guess they were too busy. If you can't speak for yourself your gonna do without. We got a phone call saying an investigation was open because an employee witnessed another strike my son across the face. I am not done with this place I have pictures of the filth and kept records of a whole lot of I don't knows. Not one person could ever answer my questions nobody responded nobody. Well the whole place is a nightmare and that's putting it nicely it's not deserving of not one star not one! Finally my son ended up in the hospital for very high sodium it was 180 its suppose to be around 130 he was completely dehydrated and starving to death after 2 days of being in the hospital He definitely will not be returning there the doctor realized one of his lungs was collapsed it has been collapsed for only God knows how long. I'm telling you it should be closed down. I can not stress the level of neglect this place delivers its less than one star worthy
