I've been walking my dog here for the last year, Only place I felt safe and it is so beautiful and serene there and then today a grounds keeper came up to me threatened me cussed me out said I was trespassing which I never knew that cemeteries were not open to the public he blocked the entrance so I couldn't
leave and then call the police on me. I felt harassed and he talked to me with such vulgar language I would never recommend anybody going to this cemetery to be treated like that. Nowhere is there a no trespassing sign and even on the website it says that everyone is welcome

I'm sorry but the condition of this cemetery is appalling. The weeds are abundant and most of the grass dying. Whatever funds are allocated for care are not enough to keep it in an acceptable condition. Who'se in charge here and what can be done to improve it?

I will share that this is a PRIVATE CEMETERY and thus you are not allowed in to look or learn unless you belong. I state this because there are no signs posted saying anything except the hours. My husband and I are history/ culture scholars and when we realized that there was a Cemetery in the area that we hadn't seen anything about we decided to take our nightly walk there. We have done this at Woodlawn, Mt. Washington, and Mt. St. Mary's. We stay on the paths- do not walk among the graves. We were rudly asked to leave and though I understand completely the fear of vandalism the whole thing would have been avoided if it were posted ANYWHERE that this is a private Cemetery. I also thought it tacky that the same man that told us to leave drove away- then waited up the street to make sure we left. He could have easily waited on property if he were that concerned. I hope that the place stays as lovely as it is and will never return because now we know.
