I had to get a root canal for the first time ever today. I was rather nervous, but I showed up, the staff was friendly and kind. They took me back did the X-ray to check out the tooth, Dr. Berg came in numbed me up and then let me get all the way numb for a few minutes. When he came back to my room, he gave another injection to ensure I was numb and then got started. The procedure was a little complicated he said because it had calcified in there but he got it all done. It took about 45 minutes. Once we were done, they did another X-ray to ensure it was completed and he said to me that I was going to hurt and he’ll give me some meds for it. I was pretty impressed by the whole thing, he is a man of few words, and is very direct, but think that is good thing. He’s also 100% honest about what’s going to happen and if he can fix it or not. I think that some folks may be put off by that but I appreciate it greatly. I totally recommend him.

Dr. Berg does the best root canals. I've had 3 with him (9 total). His bedside manner needs work but if I have to sacrifice politeness over pain, he can keep being rude.

I was absolutely terrified to get a root canal (my dentist recently told me I need 3!) I was referred to Dr. Berg by another endodontist's office after they could not get me in quickly enough. I am so glad I was referred to his office - I called on Tuesday, and they got me in on Thursday. Dr. Berg is a phenomenal endodontist. He explained the process beforehand by drawing a picture and showing me exactly what was going to happen.The procedure was 100% painless and only lasted about 15 minutes. Dr. Berg has a straightforward demeanor, but I never once felt that he was being rude or arrogant (I included this statement in my review because previous comments talked about this and my experience was very pleasant). I am actually looking forward to going back to get my 2nd and 3rd root canals because my experience was so great. If you need a root canal I highly recommend going to see Dr. Berg. He will make sure the process is painless and his staff will do their best to get you in very quickly!

I walked out within 10 minutes of getting there. He was the rudest man. When I tried to ask questions about the process he interrupted me and said we didn’t have to do it, he’d just as soon go home. So I told him to and walked out.
