Taco Bell is far better and more authentic than Agave!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have always liked Agave in the past. It's always been our favorite Mexican place in Columbia. Now, it's gone to the bottom of the list. Service was decent. We found out that there is no more Friday special for margaritas, so I did not order one. We ordered our food, and it came faily quickly. However, both of our orders had mistakes. Mine was supposed to have queso on it, but it was Swiss cheese instead. My wife ordered extra rice because she does not like beans. She got the beans and no extra rice. We told the waitress, and she fixed the problem and apologized. We went to the foyer to pay our bill. I discovered that they no longer have a 10% veteran's discount, either, like they used to have. What a slap in the face to those of us who served. Prices have gone up as well. As I paid my bill, I told the man who checked me out that we would not be coming back. It did not seem to bother him at all. Needless to say, that's all I needed to hear. My advice? If you've never eaten there, DON"T! If you have, don't go back.

Used to go here all the time and have never had issue until the last month or so. Mostly new wait staff; extremely slow service. No draft beer last night--no explanation why. Asked for a water- never received it. Waited 1 hour and 12 minutes for food--we did take about 10 minutes to decide what to eat however. During this whole waiting game after we ordered, I remember our waitress coming to our table a couple times to bring us a refill--never to apologize for the wait--other than that, we didn't see her at all. Three tables who came in after us got their food before we did-- I counted because I'm petty like that. I finally went to our waitress and told her we wanted our food to-go (because we had to get our child home by bedtime.) There was absolutely no acknowledgement about the extremely slow service from any employee, however they were very friendly and smiling. Working in food service previously myself, I understand training new employees can be tough, but the number one rule is customer service should never suffer--you should always be apologetic and recognize when your customers are unhappy. I didn't say anything to the wait staff about the issues because when we were leaving, there was another family paying their bill and I personally didn't want to wait any longer. Had we had cash on us, we would have left money for our drinks on the table and walked out. It pains me to say this because Agave used to be great, but do yourself a favor and go to another restaurant.
