I was really excited to try this place for lunch on my sister's graduation weekend. Unfortunately, they had a special menu in luei of their usual lunch menu and apparently just loaded it food choices that were expired or near expired. I got sick later that night from the salmon risotto. The dish came topped with a cold seafood salad and tomato sauce which I thought was a strange combination. The salmon itself was incredibly overcooked. I'd compare it to seafood jerky. The seafood salad was out of place and I think it's funkiness was masked by the tomato sauce. The risotto may have been good but was so overpowered by the other flavors I just couldn't tell. I wasn't sure if I was being dramatic or not thinking this is what gave me mild food poisoning but I heard through a friend that one of their family members ordered this dish later that same day and also got sick. To add, my mom ordered the cannelloni which contrary to every other cannelloni I've ever seen did not actually have any noodles. The more appropriate name would have been beef stew but maybe the chef thought that would be a hard sell on a warm day in May. All the entrees that day were priced around $25 which seems extremely excessive knowing that 1. They were poorly prepared 2. They made people physically ill 3. They aren't even what you think you are ordering

Had reservations for their special Valentine's Day dinner. I don't usually write long reviews, but this was awful I don't believe we can even give them a second chance. This was a disaster. The good: Bottled and by-the-glass wine selection was good for a small restaurant, with italian features organized by region. Cocktail menu is somewhat unique and my wife enjoyed hers. The beef tenderloin itself had good flavor and texture. Tiramisu was really nice with a good balance of flavors and textures, and just enough liquor. Bad service: Even though the place was empty when we were sat (5:30pm), it took several minutes for the two hostesses to figure out where they might seat us. We were then informed we had to order all of our courses, include dessert, right away. They brought the wrong appetizer and said, "is this yours?" We replied, "what is it?" The runner who brought the food to us didn't know. Then, a person dressed up slightly (front of house manager?) yelled at the runner "OH MY GOD! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" in the middle of the restaurant. It just got worse when our server brought the same appetizer salad to me, rudely stating, "this IS yours." I had ordered a crab spring roll so I asked where the spring roll was, and she said, "well, I guess it's not in there" and took it back to the kitchen (the salad had grapefruit on it and was unrelated to the spring roll dish). I will say that our server herself was pleasant for the most part, and checked on us appropriately during and between courses. When we finished our main course, the server came over and asked, "are you ready for the check?" I asked if we were going to receive the dessert we ordered earlier. She said she would go get it. She forgot again and brought back the check. It had our desserts charged on the receipt, so I asked again for dessert and she apologized and brought them quickly. After all of these mistakes, including the apparent manager yelling at a staff member, no one even thought to come apologize to us. We really were wondering what the apparent front of house manager was doing standing around and intermittently polishing some silverware when his staff was having such a hard time figuring out seating and getting dishes to the right tables. Even if we wanted to share our thoughts that night, there was no table touch and no one asked us how our meal or service were at all. Bad food: We figured a ravioli appetizer at an italian restaurant would be made with fresh pasta. Maybe it was, but it was breaded and deep fried so long (like toasted ravioli?) that the edges were too hard to eat (could barely cut through them with a knife) and we couldn't tell exactly what it tasted like inside. The crab spring roll had no texture or crunch to it and just seemed soggy or slimy. There wasn't much flavor to it, either. Beef tenderloin had good texture and flavor, but was under-seasoned and cooked medium when ordered medium-rare. The spaghetti that came with the tenderloin was average, but was very uniform and didn't seem to be fresh made? The sauce that accompanied it was watery and flavorless. The pasta that came with the salmon (I believe strigoli) was clearly homemade, but was undercooked, gritty, and floury. We were very disappointed in the pasta (ravioli, spaghetti, and strigoli) for a place that prides itself on it.
