Dr. Emerson is the most no-nonsense doctor I've ever had the pleasure of bringing my child to. She is very clear and easy to understand, but doesn't talk to parents and patients like children. She is up-to-date on current therapy techniques, medications, procedures and the like.
If Dr. Emerson sees an opportunity to improve a child's health or quality of life, she gets the ball rolling immediately. I have always been impressed by her willingness to jump right in to whatever treatment option the family is pursuing. I've never felt like I had to wait an overly-long time to be seen or referred to somebody by her.
Emerson is very blunt and direct. It's refreshing after years of having doctors talk to me like a fragile flower of a parent. I love her, and her staff. I'd recommend her to anyone.
