What a wonderful weekend getaway. A very old home updated to be modern while retaining the charm of the original home. Proprietor is extremely knowledgeable about the town and surrounding areas and a wonderful host. The porch is one of the most relaxing places I've ever been. Plenty to do in town (Main St. is a 5 min walk) with a variety of cuisines.

Tom and Terri are wonderful people and their bed & breakfast in their historic home is in the heart of Cape Girardeau, MO.  Wonderful weekend getaway or stopping point on a longer trip.  The Mississippi River is just blocks from their home and an amazing place.

My husband and I decided to take a road trip from Chicago to Memphis, TN for our one year wedding anniversary. We were looking for somewhere near the half way point (preferably along the mighty Mississippi) to stop for the night. We came across the lovely Neumeyer Bed and Breakfast in charming Cape Girardeau. This bed and breakfast really met and surpassed our expectations. The Neumeyer's are really the nicest couple that you'll ever meet. They lovingly restored their century old bungalow home to near museum condition.  There is a gorgeous butterfly garden in the front yard, and the rooms for rent are very cute. They provided us with great conversation and a very yummy filling breakfast. While the actual town of Cape Girardeau was quite small it was still charming. There isn't a whole day's worth of things to do there, but certainly you could fill at least half a day with all of the antique shops downtown.
