My wife was a daycare provider here at First Methodist and was proficient at her job; she had prior experience at taking care of kids in daycare for over 3 years out of state and when we moved to West Point she got a job at this church right away. She suffers from certain medical conditions which she disclosed to management and they promised to help her. They were seemingly excited about her experience and it went well for a short while until there were issues that she tried to bring up about the care of the children and safety issues. The management made it seem like they cared by letting her go home early on some tough days and they allowed this with other staff as well. Only when my wife made a big issue about a certain kid which endangered the safety of other kids did she encounter problems with management which told her maybe she didn't belong in this field if she couldn't handle it. They twisted her words around on her and made it seem like she couldn't do her job when it was THEM failing the children's needs they are supposed to take care of. They then promised to find more support and help for her in the room and the next day FIRED her for inability to do her job due to the same medical concerns she disclosed to them to begin with. That is discrimination and they just wanted to get rid of her because they didn't want to be criticized about their horrible management system and failure to protect the children in their care. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE with your kid. This place DOESN'T care about the kids or the staff... they only care about themselves.
