Hired to handle a child custody case in which the petitioner was a historically negligent parent, for a counter petition -- they made us feel comfortable to hire them, but did not actually do anything that they stated they would that let us feel comfortable enough to hire them. We were told that if we were not guilty of the petition we would be suing for our expenses for attorney and drug testing to be reimbursed and any other applicable money owed, after we were proven innocent, we were told that attorney fees and reimbursement of drug tests and time off of work rarely happen. Chip also left our child support in a very questionable manner by having me request to withdraw my case from CPS and to move to an income withholding order only, and for me to keep up with the owed support myself -- he never filed the income withholding order, and the negligent parent is still refusing to pay his minimum ordered support 15 years into his child's life. His receptionist sent additional emails acting like I had not sent her the requested information in previous emails. He referred us to a guardian ad litem, had her do all of the work, and ultimately treated us as if we didn't deserve a dime of child support or custody and pursued to help the father in re-establishing visitation rights that CPS dealt away with in court less than a year prior for outstanding reasons. I wanted to leave a better review, but after paying $3500, and doing all of the legwork for them to keep from exceeding my retainer, and being told that the case is closed, has been closed for a year and that I would have to rehire this firm to do more, I have decided to leave this honest review -- I waited this full year to see if he would send the income withholding order, recently emailed the office, and have determined that he purposefully had me remove my child support case from CPS so that they could not enforce it, and so that I would have to hire someone to fix it -- which is quite alright! We have made it this 15 years without the support, and in my eyes, child support and family court is not something for anyone to hope to bank on. If this were not true, I would leave a better review.
