Hertz Car Rental - Tupelo - Barnes Crossing HLE

I walked in to trade in my rental car because I had it 30 days. I began to wonder if it was even a business when I walked in and the two women turned their backs to me and the man saidwhat do you need? He would not rent a car to me because I had an out of town license and he didnt have any corporate cars. Im not corporate. Very rude!

I just drove 6 hours on Easter weekend to get home. Despite having a confirmation code, the girl at the counter told me she hadnt looked at the confirmations since 9am and gave her last car away an hour ago. Thats the last car rental place open until 8 am Monday and I have work all weekend. She told me she even called another gentleman with a confirmation and told him she was out of cars!!

AVOID IF YOU HAVE AN OUT OF STATE LICENSE. This place only rents decent cars to people with MS drivers licenses.They apparently cant rent one of their cars to someone from out of state and therefore will only give you a corporate car which I complained about as it was dirty and had over 30K miles on it and didnt even have a full tank. I highly recommend renting elsewhere unless you like being discriminated against because of your home state. Its a franchise of Hertz so I guess they can do what they want and rent to whomever they want, but I suggest avoiding the place if you can.

I had to get a car from them because warranty work having to be done to ours . I am thankful the warranty covered the cost of the rental, however the man that did my rental was very rude. He was making folders when I arrived and continued to do that until he finished . Then I told him the vehicle smelled like smoke and he said well its not without even seeing. I asked him to smell and he said, I dont need to. I stated I didnt want to be charged for it and he said they didnt go by smell just by seeing ashes.
