Went during their big sale. The salesperson was one of those traveling sales people, brought in specifically to help with big sales. We were quite specific with what type of vehicle we NEEDED, big enough to hold my 6'4" son and enough cargo room to hold my husbands wheelchair. They presented us with a vehicle that could possibly do it. We went to see if we could qualify for it. Now, being in sales and F and I, I know that you can pull a credit report and if you know your banks pretty well you know where a customer should fit within at least you first 2-3. I SPECIFICALLY said run my credit through 2 banks. I was given a piece of paper that I was requested to sign about down payment and monthly payment. Since it was late they couldn't really give us an answer that night, but said give them till 11 tomorrow and they could. After leaving the family talked it over and we decided that the vehicle was not going to be a good fit for us after all. We called them at 8:30 the next morning and said that we have changed our minds and please do not continue any further. They called us back to find out why we explained and everybody was good, at that time frame. A couple days later I got my THIRD reject notice in the mail and I called them up to ask just how many we were ran through. The salesperson that I spoke with said "Oh we ran you through nine". I lost it. I asked why I was ran through nine when I said 2 and that thanks to them, and the fact that each request was a hard hit of 15 points on my credit score, it would be awhile before I was able to buy another vehicle. He asked me who I asked to only run my credit through 2 banks I said the salesperson and said very loudly to the F and I person behind her, you should be able to pull my credit and know what banks will accept the deal. He said well they must not have heard you and hung up. Be careful when car shopping.
