Dr. James C. Bishop, DDS

Dr. John Chandler is a really great dentist. I'm in the middle of several dental procedures and he's been very kind and fun. He's kept me informed of what's going on and helped me along the process. His staff have patiently listened to me as well. Best of all he is amazing with my children. My Younger son had never been to the dentist and was apprehensive and he calls Dr. Chamdler the "fun doctor!" Dental work is always going to be pricy. If you were having any surgery it would cost a lot of money if you were not insured that's why it suprises me when people complain about the prices of procedures. These men and women are actual doctors who've been through intensive school and perfected what they do, they also deal with after care (palative care I think it's called) they get a bad rap from parents scaring their kids (don't do that it's going to be traumatic) and learning to assist nervous patients as well as administering anesthesia. it's not like you went and saw a barber like in the 1800's and paid him a quarter to pull a tooth and you chew on a leather strap. Modern dentistry has come a long way and Doctor Chandler and Dr Bass plus their great staff have been wonderful for my family.

Dr Bishop no longer works there (so really this is false advertising from the start) and when he left so did the awesome service and attention to detail. Take it from a guy who's being going to this place for 10 years... find somewhere else. This is NOT the place to get your teeth worked on anymore. The new guy ground on my real teeth to try and fit a fake tooth instead of just getting a new crown made. $1000 to grind on a REAL tooth and also ground half the crown away because it was too big. Now my bite is changed forever, huge peices of food stay stuck in the crown, and I can't even get a return call when I called to complain. I know Dr Bishop would never have allowed this poor treatment. Save your money and put it toward gas to get you to a dentist in Hattiesburg.
