This and the Minnetonka Music Go Round (which are owned by the same people) are my favorites in the area. The staff are unpretentious, cooperative, and friendly, and their gear selection is very interesting. The Music Go Rounds in Roseville and Burnsville (owned by different people) have been a lot pickier about the conditions of items. For example, Roseville store wanted to give me only $150 on a nice acoustic guitar because it was missing a battery clip. Good think I passed on that one.

The positive wire in my acoustic/electrics battery box had snapped. I brought my guitar over around 11am, explained the issue, left, and got a call around 3pm the same day saying the job was complete. The luthier there not only fixed the wiring, but he also upgraded my battery box and made more space for the battery to sit, so it wasnt too snug like before. The job was done well with a lot of care, it was done quick, and the repair total was very affordable! Very pleased with the experience here!

Where is all the gear?!? Very small selection of instruments. Almost no pro audio gear. A few good guitars but nothing special. I've tried to make deals with this place in the past and has proven to be extremely difficult. Almost as if they don't want to add inventory. Hopefully they can add more stuff soon!

The staff at this store are incredible. I will never go to the big box music store ever again. Music Go Round in Woodbury is a one-stop shop for anything you need for your instruments.
I needed a bass set-up. I was going to do it myself but I stopped into music-go-round because I noticed their sign while I was getting food. I asked about my set-up. They charge HALF of what I was quoted at guitar center. Not only are their prices good, but you can feel the sense of joy and appreciation while these guys talk about the instruments.
Theyre very knowledgeable, yet still incredibly friendly and approachable. Im clueless about this stuff & they explained to everything so well.
Theyve got a new customer for life. I am grateful!

Very poor customer service, plus the employee who helped me looked tired. He need a break to sleep.
