Advance Auto Parts - CLOSED

The Willmar store looks closed. Nobody there and all the windows in front are covered top to bottom. 9/22/2019.

Slow service understaffed. Some of the help doesn't know much about cars and act like they do. Some of the help doesn't seem to like to look stuff up you ask for something and they tell you they don't have it and they don't look it or they tell you they don't have it but online it says they do. Had more than a few times that I had this stuff happen and went else where and got parts. Still gave them another try because there are a few good parts people there. Seems when I go in there lately I got the bad help. I have found Tony the manager to be very helpful. I go in there for brake line yesterday for my chevy truck. Tony was who helped me. He asked me what I needed and I said I needed brake line. He asked if I needed a roll I said I wanted a straight piece with the fittings on it and it needed 3/16 fittings. Instead of asking how long it needed to be and telling me what lengths they had he asked if it was metric or standard what style flare it had. Then he tells me I need to bring old one in for him to look at. Well I wanted to round parts up and do it all at one shot and make sure I had parts. So I decided to leave. As I am leaving Tony said if I went somewhere else they would need same info and need to see line. I went to O'Reilly auto told them I needed a length of brake line with 3/16 fittings. He told me what lengths they had I picked one in minutes I am out of there with my part. Go home and put it on and it works perfect only took 30 minutes to install. Last time I was at Advance auto there was a guy with a frozen battery the sides were bulged out so he wants a new battery. The lady helping him is trying to test it and telling him it might not be bad. Then she tells him he needs to thaw it out and charge it then she can test it. Maybe he needs his car running and can't wait and needs a battery now and that battery is trash. Sell him a new battery because if you don't some place else will. Very disappointing how thing have gotten at this store they used to be my go to parts store. Now I won't bother with this place I will go elsewhere.

Always help an have what I need or looking for an if they don't have it they normally have it the next day

Top notch service! I went in for a replacement plastic pin(?) that holds on my mud flap. The gentleman behind the counter not only found the right one but also installed it after removing the old broken one.
