I used to take the kids I nanny here because they loved to play on the train and get trinkets or candy from the quarter machines. Now they took out the train so kids have to play outside-tough during MN winters. I miss how it used to be a proper cafe to go to, but now that the focus has shifted from the coffee, it's simply not as good. The food is alright, the atmosphere is all but gone now, and the service is awful. I went in with my grandma last weekend and the server was so grumpy I wondered if we weren't supposed to have sat in her section, but no just grumpy.
They were good at being a quirky neighborhood cafe and they should have stuck to it. Such a shame!

The coffee is good, but only if you are ordering it to go. Sitting down for breakfast today, we waited for 15 minutes before a server approached us. He said he would be right back with water and menus, and another server came back 10 minutes later. We ordered coffee and food, waited 15 more minutes with no coffee, then decided to find an alternative establishment.

Waited for 20 minutes to get menus and another hour and a half for food. Once we got food it was good, but not worth the wait.
