DeVoe Orthodontics

I wanted to go to an orthodontist closer to home, but my dentist convinced me that I needed Dr. Devoe's expertise. I'm glad she did. It was a long journey, as I had jaw surgery in addition to orthodontics. Dr. Devoe clearly cares about his patients as people. He's attentive to each person individually, even when the clinic is busy. He communicates complicated plans clearly and let's me ask all my questions. The assistants and other staff are great as well. A few times, I called with questions and they patiently addressed my concerns and encouraged me to call or make an appointment if needed. I hope this isn't relevant in the future, but I want to mention that I really appreciated how this office handled the pandemic, the shutdown, and changing protocols. They were very organized and communicated clearly.

I feel most of the staff at the office are professional and nice, except for one. I feel this staff is very condescending and rude. I do not appreciate the tone of voice she speaks with me, nor the face she expresses. When I try to tell her the days that I am free from work for appointments, she did not seems to care to listen and give me days when I am not available. Also, when I approached the front desk she did not care to ask if I need help until I say something. Never once she greets my son or me when we entered the office. I do not feel welcomed by this receptionist. Additionally, it makes me feel very uneasy and not wanting to continue the service. I do like Dr. DeVoe and the rest of the staff, and I know they are not at fault so I tried to overlook this problem. However, I feel that I do not have to put up with this rudeness and unprofessionalism.

With already a complicated process of deciding on braces for a child....EVERYONE here is on top of everything and all questions. This truly helps with a seamless process. A big thanks from us!!!

We went in for a second opinion for my son's frenum attachment. Somehow Dr. DeVoe found a tongue tie that had been missed on my son for 10 years! He has suffered from headaches that were gradually getting worse. During the exam and a casual conversation about headaches Dr. DeVoe noticed his tongue was very tongue tied. A trip to the ENT for confirmation, then a release, and no more headaches. We will be going back for follow up care regarding the initial frenum attachment appointment.
