Promises the world to get you to sign on with them. After being wined and dined at orientation things quickly went downhill. All the typical red flags went up. I was sent 8 hrs from main terminal in Minneapolis to Indiana to pick up my truck. Truck was not at all close to what was promised by the head hunter aka recruiter. Truck had damage, mismatched tires, even a unidirectional steer tire mounted backwards, very unsafe! Truck didn't even have license plates or supporting paperwork on-board! I quit the next day when I seen that I would be doing alot of sitting in backwater red neck towns waiting for the boat manufacturers I would be hauling for to come up with loads with no pay. It was obvious I wouldn't make anywhere near the pay promised to me. Not worth being away from family at all. I would stay away from them. High turnover company. Puts 10 or so new drivers through orientation weekly but doesn't take on new trucks to support.

I was seeking a job there and Recuter G tell me to put an application in! I told him when I put it in the application I will call him and let him know that I did so he said ok! So he hung up on me before I could finish speaking with him! Anyways I call him 15 minutes after I finish the application he never answer so I left a voice message on his phone! I called him the next day and he still never answer I called a different number and got somebody else and they transfer the call to him and he still never pick up! So I am saying in my mind that if this is how they treat a driver I cant imagine whats next if I am to be hired SMH.

They didn't tell me about being governed 66mph until I was at orientation. They don't have enough miles for the best buy account in Denver. I was lied to about pay. They said you get paid for holidays whether you work them or not, lied. I had to beg and plead to get a PM done on time and because denver fleet doesn't have a terminal at all or mechanics they wouldn't let me get it done so my truck derated 2 times. My paycheck hurt all of December because of this. Just recently best buy isn't allowing drivers to sleep on the yard but koch doesn't have a place for drivers to go now so that starts end of January 2024. You will have to park elsewhere. You won't have a place to go besides truck stops and its denver so good luck finding parking late at night when you return from your route. Trailers are old and always have major issues again there is no terminal in Denver and no mechanics regularly working on equipment. Trailers you try to hook to is always dropped high so you will have to constantly lower the trailer yourself to hook. They have made it clear you don't matter at this company, if you speak up against any of the nonsense you will be fired. Safety is beyond ridiculous with their department always calling over minor issues they make out to be major issues. I was called two different times for the same violation. The violation I had was staying off the clock drove my truck from a mechanic shop to best buy work yard and was called about it. That conversation didnt go well. She told me because im working and driving the truck i have to start my clock when even my boss Chuck said no one ever starts their clock to take your truck to or from mechanics. She told me she was adding my time to my clock which would put me in a 40 mins going over my clock violation. I get a call a week later on the same issue from another guy. The conversation didnt go well because i said im not working, where do I get paid for that time taking my truck to and from the mechanic. I told them this has already been addressed. Chucks boss Rick made it clear that I didnt matter at the company and to go find another job, that back in their day of trucking they didn't complain they just dealt with things. I called HR tried to resolve issues with them she promised to call me back in 2 days, she never called. Weeks went by. 2 days later after I told my boss chuck I was going to start looking for another job, once my load was completed his boss and him both called on 3 way call and said because of phones calls not going good with safety (the way I talked to them) and my violations they were parting ways. Clean out my truck. That was yesterday in below Temperatures on top of it. My lowest checks have been with this company, even during their busy season. The yard jockey they had was the best I've ever saw, he was promised certain pay and they lied. He also talked to our bosses boss Rick and was told he didn't matter and look for another job and to just put his head down and be quiet. He complained to corporate and tried to resolve these problems and that's when they started to treat him terribly, reduced his hours. He complained about a yard jockey he was training he literally walked off the job left work before his schedule was done 2 different times and they did nothing to this yard jockey. The good yard jockey ended up leaving without notice. Chuck acts like he is your friend and always agrees with you but don't be fooled he will not have your back when corporate gets involved. He complained to me how they have a lot of drivers not doing their jobs but yet I was such a great driver he could depend on but yet here we are. I was let go over minor safety violations of going over time. They don't give you PC or any weather exemption or the 30 min break exemption either. I never missed a day of work, always got the loads on time even in bad weather. To be let go over the way I responded to safety and talked to rick is ridiculous. I'm outspoken and always will be. For good reason. Avoid, at all costs. Don't waste your time getting hired etc.
