Origami Restaurant

We hadnt been to restaurant for a long-time so looked forth to our favorite dishes and a nice relaxing dinner. The menu still has a wide selection and the quality/taste was excellent! The service on the other hand was terrible. The wait was long; appetizers and food came out at the same time; and waiter seemed to disappear! Finally, we noticed waiter talking to another table for about 15 minutes. We had to flag down a manger to get refills on drinks and takeout boxes. Even with managers assistance, we didnt get drinks as requested. Waiter came 10 minutes later as though everything was fine. We enjoyed the food but the poor service ruined the evening for us. I ordered in from this place and it was pretty good! I got the Age Dashi Tofu and the Yakisoba. The soy sauce dashi came separately from the tofu. Just the tofu alone was very satisfying and filling. The tofu was sooo soft I loved it. The Yakisoba was so yummy! The one I got came with tofu and mushrooms and the portion size was huge! I would recommend getting the chili oil with the Yakisoba.

We loved the food here - so delicious. The fried rice and gyoza were the best and the sushi was so good. My boyfriend and I went on Valentines Day the server was not cool. We had to flag her down after 15+ minutes of waiting and it wasnt that busy by the time we dined. Around 8:30 pm. She was unfortunately Not really friendly and I felt like we were putting her out. Our table was by a screen and we were sat right beside another couple so it was also awkward seating. I could hardly shimmy past screen to get up from the table. Id like to go back because the Japanese chefs were awesome but the service was a let down. Everyone has their bad days- I get it- but dont make people feel like this when they are paying and tipping for a great night out. In defense of the chefs- overall a great restaurant.
