Be very careful doing business with Ms Sokolowski. We purchased something from her off NextDoor and she completely misrepresented the product, which couldn't be verified until the end of the transaction, and turned out to be less than half of what she cleverly only *strongly implied* it was. When bringing this up, she was extremely rude and hung up on us. Wanting to avoid interpersonal drama, we simply took her to small claims court, thinking the case was clear as day, that no one would side with her, she clearly tricked us. But because the burden of proof relies on us and we didn't know you had to be completely explicit with everything (we thought the facts spoke for themselves), we lost. Armed with all the additional evidence and details, we appealed the decision, and Ms. Sokolowski cleverly made the judge dismiss the additional evidence and broken statutes based on technicality (new information cannot be presented on an appeal). So, she got away victoriously. We are flabbergasted that we were basically cleverly and technically legally scammed by her and she got away with it. I guess her being a lawyer helps her know how to sell things in a way that is immoral but lucrative. So, if you're buying her products, make sure she isn't vague and you have everything in writing. An "all-in-one complete clothing storage system" that you pay $1500 for might end up being five hangers upon delivery. Or better yet, give your business to someone who you won't have to lawyer up to try to recover your money when she fails to deliver.
