Don't bother buying health insurance through UnitedHealth. Even after submitting all required documentation, they will still DENY YOUR CLAIMS for covered services with no explanation why. Then you'll be stuck paying your providers out of your own pocket, just like me.

Really don’t deserve even 1 star. I have been nothing but frustrated dealing with this company. Their only saving grace is an assistant named Tiffany who was so helpful. I’ve been battling to get my surgery bills paid for months and today I got THREE more back that I have to fight for. This after monthly premiums over $1000! Argh!!!!! Awful!!

I have been with UHC for a little over a year now. Just about every claim that is submitted on my behalf is a mess. I have spent time appealing most of my claims only to find out UHC staff did something wrong. I spent one hour and a half on one call with them today and got nowhere. So, now again, am filing another appeal. Member services thinks they are right and sometimes they are not. On my way to Humana for open enrollment. My sister has it and has no problems as I have been having with UHC. I am trying to find some places to write letters that can be effective so they wake up.

Too big to function. I just spent an hour looking through their website, googling my question, and attempting (in vain) to reach someone who could help me. My question is simple, and I'm so confused why it's so difficult to find an answer. I was finally connected to "someone who can help", but they're in New York (I'm in Oklahoma), and the guy I was connected to told me he wasn't able to transfer me back to who I was talking to before, which means I had to call back and start over again. SO. FRUSTRATING.

STAY AWAY .Worst, most dangerous insurance i ever had. The doctors are right now telling me to go to the emergency room cause the insurance wont cover me with out a referral from a specific doctor. (Even tho i have 2 referals from doctors that this doctor is fine with) im bleeding from a open wound right now (2 inch opening stuffed with cotton) I have insurance and im not covered over a referral. For all you guys who need coverage. Stick with BCBS united healthcare is fake insurance at its finest.
