Cassie lied to me about the ingredients in the hair color products she uses. I asked her if a product she used had a certain ingredient and she said no but later when I asked her to show me the ingredient list, the chemical I asked about is the third ingredient on the list. This chemical has been tied to hair loss and dermatitis in research which is why I was trying to avoid it. Instead of listening to my concerns and checking the ingredient list, Cassie told me the hair color didnt have the ingredient, which was not true. She displayed a lack of concern for my wishes as a client and a willingness to make up facts in order to speed up the process and get me in and out of the appointment.

Worst hair experience ever! Read the many one star reviews on Yelp. Odd way to run a business stylists are empowered by policies to fire clients, because the stylists are seasoned. BEWARE first time clients, the stylists pick and choose whose a match from the second you walk in. What business treats clients like that? I gave the place a second chance with Todd and had another horrible experience. Done!
You may show up for your second visit and learn that the stylist isnt there because the stylist canceled the appointment because they dont like you, but neither the stylist nor the Hair District bothered to let you know- look at yelp reviews to see how many people had this happen to them. I arrived for my second appointment, after a bizarre first visit, and the stylist tells me shes not doing my hair, because shes GOD and doesnt think were a match. Can you imagine if I had been attending my graduation or wedding the next day?!
Many stylists there are bitter, unprofessional, rude, and intolerant of their own job - AND mediocre at their job after all that! Feel the tension at the front desk and trust your gut. For more details go to Yelp.
P.S. I had the same experience as Nicole did (below) with Todd- whereby he didnt listen to what I wanted in my cut or style and then told me to fix it myself at home. Saying he has an EGO would be an understatement, he was literally verbally abusive. Also it is true that the stylists there dont finish their job- if you want it dried, God forbid styled, you pay something like $25 more.
Do not enter this Twilight Zone, youll leave wondering if its you, and feel horrible and ripped off. I now have a fantastic hair dresser at the Hair District on France and 50th- a professionally run, relaxing, happy place. These are individually owned franchises hence the different experience.
