        Had the vegetarian sampler plate and Doro wat and both were absolutely fantastic. If I could live off of the sauce from the wat and injera Id be a very happy lady! Wish I could get their food home in Eau Claire. The service was also great. Will definitely be back our next trip to the cities!

        Friendly service and nice selection of vegetarian options. Decent # of patrons when we were there, which is always a good sign, IMHO. I ordered the vegetable platter and it was a hearty helping of deliciousness 😋. I look forward to repeat visits.

      Since 1990, The Red Sea Ethiopian Restaurant has been a destination for authentic Ethiopian & Eritrean food in Minneapolis. Our menu features a wide variety of flavorful dishes, including many vegetarian options. Located on Cedar Avenue in Minneapolis' West Bank, near Washington Avenue and 35W, The Red Sea has a full bar with a daily Happy Hour from 4 to 9 pm. Check our Events page often to find out when your favorite local band or DJ is going to be featured on our stage. We have a state-of-the-art sound system and a large dance floor so you can dance the night away. Just here for the delicious food? Our restaurant has a separate entrance so you can enjoy a peaceful meal, but feel free to move next door should the mood strike.
