I highly valued this store. They offered high-quality work clothes and cold-weather gear for reasonable prices. When I was unemployed and broke, I discovered the government could provide a stipend to pick up decent work clothes at Kaplan Bros., which was a life-saver. It truly breaks my heart to see the store go out of business, not just for the loss of fine products and reliable staff, but what a blow the community will suffer as our friends go out of work and our spending money is funneled out of state. This store closing is just one symptom of a disaster.
