Almost Famous Body Piercing

In terms of piercing procedure, this place does just fine. I got my septum pierced recently and my nostril pierced some months ago, and both times it was quick and painless. I had the same piercer both times (Casper) and they were awesome. If you go to the River Hills Mall location, hope that theyre working that day. However, management really needs to be put together better. Most recently I went to Almost Famous on a Saturday when it opens at 10 AM. I was there around 11, and the people working there told me that the piercer wouldnt be in until 12:30-ish. They also said that other people were already in line to get piercings, so Id have to wait until 12:45-ish. This is fine, but advertising that youre open at 10 and then not being available until 12:30 is frustrating. There were times when at least two workers were just standing around, not doing anything, inside the store within the time I was waiting. Ultimately, if youre going to claim that youre open at 10 AM, you should be service-ready at 10 AM. Almost Famous is a decent place to get piercings done, but be willing to deal with obstacles if you go. Service: Nose piercing

I had a wonderful experience getting pierced yesterday! Initially I was a little worried about being able to since there were a lot of people but I managed to get sorted pretty quickly! I got both my lip and my cartilage pierced and I cannot recommend this place enough! Im a very anxious person and tend to get very jittery. The piercer who helped me was incredibly kind and joked with me while they were getting ready before the piercings. It definitely helped ease my nerves. Both piercings were done quickly and with minimal pain. Honestly I thought they were joking around when they said my lip was done. Its clean and sanitary and I have mad respect for places and piercers that account for anatomy before doing piercings so thats another plus!! (I had wanted an industrial but was told that that was probably not doable due to my ear anatomy). Service: Ear piercing

This place is horrible!! I took my teenage daughter in to by an earring for a 2nd piercing in one of her ears. We wanted an earring to match the one she already had in the opposite ear. We explained what we were trying to do to the lady working, asked for her assitance in opening the earring case and even asked her opinion for the final selection. After choosing, we headed to the cash register where the employee proceded to ring up the 1 earring I was purchasing. I asked if they did the piercing same day and she said yes. I paid, she handed me the bag with the earring in it and I asked, do we need to make an appointment to have her ear pierced or what. Response - "Oh, you want HER ear pierced today!? I stated yes. She proceeded to tell me that in order to have her ear pierced, both my daughter and I would need to have a photo ID. I stated she was only 13 and didn't have an ID. Response was "well, that's the law". So I then I stated that I wanted to return the earring I just purchased becasue it was of no use to me at this point. Her response was the store had a No Return policy. I asked to speak to a manager, and a person who had been standing there listening to this entire conversation steps forward and says she was the manager. There was nothing she could do for me. The law is the law and it states right on the counter that they have a no return policy. When I asked for more information to contact the corporate office, she told me she wasn't giving me any information and that I should leave. I did. I still have the earring my daughter purchased with saved up money that can't be used because no other piercing parlor will use jewlery from another piercing place. So beware! They are in the business of ripping people and kids off!

I've got 4 helix piercings here and didn't feel a thing! The workers are incredibly nice and talk with you throughout the whole process.
