Although the insurance through Farmers more than met our expectations, we were disconcerted when Tom Heinonen entered our home not wearing a mask. When asked if he had been fully vaccinated against the Covid19 virus, he told us no. We then moved our meeting out to our back porch which was mostly outdoors. I believe during this time of the pandemic your agents need to be masked up whether or not they have been vaccinated. It's the smart and respectful thing to do!

I really do not enjoy leaving negative reviews, but I want others to be warned about my personal experience with this agency. I have been with this agency for 3+ years. The service I received up until recently has been great, but unfortunately the lack of communication over the last 2+ months has completely wiped any good standing they had with me. Back in the beginning of August 2020 I reached out and spoke directly with Tom regarding our rates, because they had skyrocketed over the last few renewals. My spouse does have one accident on their record but it was going to be dropping off their driving record so I wanted to see if there was anything we could do to reevaluate our rates. I spoke with Tom and he told me to “give him some time” and he would send me a form to fill out so that he could rerun our driving records. He also mentioned his assistant, Kay, was out on vacation and would follow up she returned the following week. That was over two months ago. I never received the form Tom said he would send, Kay never reached out nor did Tom. They completely forgot about me. Unprofessional. I should not have to hold my agents’ hand to do his job. I have already made the switch to a different insurance company and will be calling to cancel my policies. I will also be contacting corporate to file a complaint.

Tom, Kay and their other staff have been tremendously responsive to my needs and questions regarding anything related to insurance. I've had a few vehicles with them, a trailer, a snowmobile, umbrella policy and most importantly my home. We continue our relationship with them and Farmers and recommend them to others, because their knowledge and service is unmatched. I work in the construction industry and deal with other insurance companies, and Farmers is one of the absolute best to work with when facing a claim. Whether it is damage to your home or vehicle, THEY TAKE CARE OF YOU! Having a great agency on speed dial, combined with a great insurance company is something everyone should do TODAY.
