    We are working with Blake Benson on the purchase of a new construction home in Cedar Crossing. He has be friendly, patient and thoroughly answered our questions. He was honest about what features they could and could not modify and walked us through the building timeline. He also explained the benefits of using the DR lenders and title group but was in no way pushy about having to use them. After visiting numerous DR Horton developments in the south metro, we definitely had the best experience with Blake which did play a part in choosing which location to ultimately build.     We had a great experience with our sales team however, our experience with the construction mgrs after move in has been less than ideal, stressful and not always getting issues resolved. Several times we have had individuals out to our home to provide resolution on issues made by the construction crew with several issues that are easy fixes but no follow thru or poor workmanship on product. Final walk thru before purchase we made several notes on issues that needed to be resolved and was assured the 'punchlist' would be completed. We moved in Oct 2021 and to date, we are still attempting to get some of these items resolved. Some of the work has been fixed but this took countless emails, phone calls, visits, and warranty claims. We have experienced box cutter marks that had to be fixed on our kitchen cabinets by the installers (fixing this leaves a mark due to factory finish not matching), broken piece on tub surround, we were told this was how the surround is supposed to look. (see photo of piece broken off) In addition, we have miter miter saw cracks at the top of most door frames/casings. We were told yesterday that several doors have to be reinstalled/replaced due to not being able to close the doors anymore and the frames cannot be fixed in the state they are in now so they need to now call cabinet company to come out and replace the frames on several doors. In addition, we have had clumps of plaster simply left on some walls and painted over that had to be redone, caulking issues in bathrooms and kitchen. They came out to fix the bathroom caulking in basement bathroom only to do such a messy job it left silicone on the tub sides and flooring. After the 2nd visit a week later to "fix", we were told it was resolved/fixed only to see it was not even attempted. See photos. Normal house shifting is to be expended however, we have some cracks in our walls that are nearly 2 feet in length in several areas. Being our 3rd brand new home in less than 20 years we have never experienced issues like this as we are with this DR Horton home. We have nails exposed on kitchen cabinets (they used too long of nails and simply 'bent the nail over) and after their visit to fix - they only resolved 1 cabinet and left the other with nails! We expected some things to occur due to natural shifting of the home and wood drying but most of the issues we have are actually due to poor workmanship. Work we have had done to date has been due to a lot of stress, countless phone calls, appt visits , etc. We have provided photos, we have spoken to them on the phone, we provided a list of issues to fix when they came to the home, we used blue tape to mark all the areas of the home to fix and still the work was not completed. Only resolution at this point is for us to fix all these remaining cosmetic issues ourselves (Minus these massive cracks and door issues which we will require them to fix) with our own out of pocket expense, time & labor just 3.5 months after the sale of our brand new home.

    Amazing neighborhood afrom DR Horton. Amy and Blake are very much helpful and informative. As it is a express home we don't have more options to build our home. We expected some more options to change like kitchen sink and cabinet colors. Other than it is really amazing and excited to live there soon.
