Footprints Floors Minneapolis

Great work on my flooring installation - these guys were about the same price as some Craigslist posters, but the professionalism and the quality is excellent. Highly recommend.

UPDATE: Over three months after attempting to hire Footprints (and two months after posting my original review), Hayden called my husband to say that he had an incorrect email address for us...even after we sent several emails back and forth with his office (both scheduling the appointment and to ask them to please send the bid). He also ask me to take down my review. I have chosen not to take my review down because there is nothing factually inaccurate about my review. Hayden's actions now do not negate the hassle of accommodating his schedule for nothing in return. The work has since been completed by another company, as well as a larger project he would have been able to bid. I wish no ill toward Hayden or his company. I wanted to support a local small business. The truth, it seems, is that a lot of folks have had a great experience, but some (us) have not. Potential customers are free to do with that information as they will. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I'm really baffled by our experience, since others seem to love this company. After we accomodated Hayden's limited schedule for bidding our flooring job, he never even sent us the quote. We followed up with his office staff, they promised us the quote, and he never sent it. We were ready to hire them immediately. We now have even more projects that they could have done, but we will now have to continue with another company. I understand the first job was small, but we have further jobs on this house and likely future home(s). Please don't discount customers with small jobs.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Footprints Floors! We had a crisis in the DIY installation of vinyl plank flooring, when we discovered that the material we purchased was not going down as we anticipated. We called Footprint Floors and Hayden was so responsive, being able to come out the same day to take a look at it. He then was able to schedule his crew to come the same day! We were under great pressures because the carpet installation in the same space was to be in the next day or two. The crew from Footprints came out to try to lay the floor, and they too discovered it wouldn't work (it ended up being defective). This helped us know that we needed to return that product and find another, which we did. Then the crew came back so quickly and they were able to lay the floor. It is beautifully done and looks spectacular. I was so impressed with everyone at Footprints Floors, and would definitely have them top of my list of flooring professionals. Thank you! These guys are so awesome. Hayden is very professional and he makes sure that everything goes as per the plan at every stage of the project. You will never be disappointed when working with him!

Footprints Floors subcontracted our entire project to a different company. Wish that was told to us from the beginning and made very clear instead of being told “our guys” multiple times when talking about the work that would get done. We spent time reviewing different companies and thought Footprints Floors would be a good fit after our in-home estimate with Clint and reading all the good reviews. That didn’t end up being the case. We were expecting a Footprints Floors truck to arrive day one, but instead it was a completely different company. This other company kept asking what stain we wanted and we had to keep repeating we didn’t want any stain, it was like they were not informed about our project. Floors came out nice in the end, but the three days it took to get them done (was quoted two days) were a pain because we kept having problems with the actual company doing them. I.e. Opening windows and leaving them all open without telling us when the forecast called for rain and couldn't walk on the floors since they were drying, not being prepared on the second day with enough gloss for the second coat so had to reschedule to a third day after I already waited 5 hours for them only to be a no-show when they were supposed to finish the job, leaving trash outside our front door and in our landscaping, etc. Every time there was an issue, we had to go through Mike at Footprints Floors and he had to get in touch with their supervisor to solve it. Very frustrating. I didn’t even get a call or text from Footprints Floors on the third day this company finished the job to see if everything had finally went well after all the problems we had. Took Footprints Floors four days later to reach back out to schedule the final walk-through and even then they weren’t prepared with touch-up supplies and had to contact the other company to come back out a week later.
