Blast Blow Dry Bar

I usually have great service at the Minneapolis location (Alexis Johnson was a great stylist but she is no longer there!) and I expected the same at the West End location - I was VERY disappointed. I purchased a groupon and made an appointment online a week before. I live 30 minutes away and arrived to be rudely informed that they did not have my appointment in their system. They did not offer any type of apology or say anything about rescheduling. I requested to speak to the manager and the rude employee I was speaking to was the manager (which is an embarrassment to the company). She was openly disrespectful and unaccommodating. As a paying customer, I was made to feel like I was an inconvenience. She not only spoke unprofessionally but also dressed unprofessionally (almost like a vagrant). Customer Service is clearly not a priority of Blast Blow Dy Bar. There is a reason multiple locations have closed. Perhaps the owners should re-evaluate their managerial staff and their cheap policies if they wish to retain customers. In my opinion the manager of the West End should be fired. I will also never go back. Bottom line - AVOID the West End Blast Blow Dry bar.

I booked my wedding party here for 5 blow outs, 1 updo and 1 makeup application. The manager seemed very friendly, booked the appointment and took my deposit. I emailed her to follow-up with the appointment, gave the names of all the ladies, etc, but I did not get a response. I emailed again to check in, but received no response. I figured I could have the wrong email address, so I called as well and the manager who I had been working with was busy so I left a message to call me back, but I never received a call. I was very uncomfortable bringing my wedding party here with the poor customer service response so I ended up canceling and booking an appointment at another salon. No one asked me why I was canceling. I can't speak to the quality of the blow outs, but the service was very disappointing.

I dropped my daughter off for a blow out before her senior pictures. When I picked her up, the woman had not washed, blow dried or styled her hair - although that is the service I booked. The stylist just bobby pinned her bangs to the side and coated her head in hair spray! That was it! She called it a refresh treatment. To be fair, when I questioned what was going on the manager apologized to me and offered to give my daughter the service I had scheduled. But we had no time, the photographer was booked and we had to go. Shame on the stylist for taking advantage of a young person and not doing her job. We will never go back.
