I just purchased a Marin Mountain Bike from John this afternoon and I had to write a review to share with everyone. John is very polite, and most importantly knowledgeable. It was a great experience and I would suggest everyone to contact John if you are looking for a mountain bike for the upcoming year. Thanks John!

I stopped by because the shop down the road had some really terrible online reviews. So glad I discovered this little, new gem (and like a geocache, it's not easy to spot from the road). It felt more like a service garage than a store, which is exactly what I needf: servicing and reasonable pricing for alternate transportation. I needed not-too-common tires, which Random didn't have in stock, so I went down the road where stock is plentiful (but you pay for that availability, fair enough). At Random's suggestion, I brought them back, and they put them on right then for their minimum charge (cheap). I would have had to wait at the place down the street two hours I didn't have. They also just happened to have a trailer bike, and I haven't found one locally at all in the last 20 or so months. I'd only seen theexpensive kind, and was thrilled this was more reasonably priced, tagged at half what I'd seen. Well, they sold it to me for much less (they talked themselves down) which, as it turns out, is about less than the going price online (without shipping). They were honest *and* low-balled when they didn't have to. I was totally naive on the product. They could have gouged me, at least charged me something comparable to what I would have actually paid online, but they didn't. I got lots of good information, and a story or two to boot. They were friendly, but not invasive or sticky. Like I do with the dollar store (though Random is by no means low-end), I'll definitely stop here first, knowing the prices will at least be fair, likely much better, the service will be honest and fast, and if they don't have what I need I can always go pay more (and wait longer) for it elsewhere.
